January Totals!!!

So, I've done the math and here are my grocery totals for the month of January:

Total before coupons: $905.74

Total after coupons: $149.12

A savings of 83%!

Just to be clear, I usually go by the "you've saved $XX.XX" at the bottom and add that to my OOP to get my total before coupons.  I used to go through and do everything manually, but found that it was way too tedious and time consuming.  I did find, though, that that number is usually lower than my actually savings (sales+coupons), so you can assume that that actual number was higher.  Either way, that's a LOT of money!  Go me! :)

Ok... So here's a breakdown of everything I got.  I will add that my OOP was much less than it should have been because of my trip to CS.  Let me explain:

So, as you can see, my OOP should have been $1.46 + tax.  This is what happened.

I got an eVIC special email for Gerber baby food purees 2 pk. $.88.  I had a $.75/4 coupon that I used with them.  Unfortunately, I grabbed the wrong ones and they rang up higher than I was anticipating.  I talked to a worker who said that I could return them, and I asked for my coupon back.  He said that that was locked up and would be impossible, but that he would reimburse me for the full price of the item.  I would have rather gotten the ones I came to get and they just manually put in the coupon for it (since it's already in their system anyway), but he wasn't listening.  That, and my ZVRs didn't come off, so I had to be reimbursed for that.  I swiped $9.07 at the pinpad, got reimbursed $4.57 for the baby food, and then got $4.10 in cash for my ZVRs that didn't come off.  That is why I can say that I paid $.40 for all of that (which I did).

The $.65 peelies for the Resolve spray n wash were DND 9s. Had a $.50 at home I didn't bring so saved it for next trip. The Finish coupon beeped but was overrided. Did not get the $1.50 Grands OYNO or the 50 box tops, wondering if it's worth calling CS for... Surprised to find the Nivea lip, they looked kind of dilapidated, as if a bunch had fallen down somewhere and they only found them after everything was cleared away from SDs... No more Pringles Will keep checking, though! Store doesn't carry Riceworks, and the Smart Balance milk was all out, go figure.

Super Doubles Total Savings

Well, super doubles is finally over.  I loved this super doubles, I stocked up on healthy juices, cereal, supplements, and beauty items for my family.  My 2 year old loves the V8 and POM juices and I use them to mix DHA powder for her Omega-3s.  It's so rewarding knowing that I am providing healthy snacks for my children at a fraction of the price.
